Hunters Must Have Reservations: Hunters must have reservations when arriving at the ranch. All hunters will be required to show a valid Texas hunting license and sign a liability release on arrival. We offer safari type hunts or first class weatherproof, double deer stands. Bow hunters, we offer tripods or you can bring your own tent blind. Guns can be sighted in at the ranch. The minimum caliber of the rifle allowed to shoot is a 243. In order to take advantage of your hunt and the time on our ranch, you may arrive at the ranch gate as early as 12 noon. Check out time is 12 noon the following day.
Reservations & Payment: Please call and reserve the dates you wish to hunt. The reservation is entered into our reservation book and dated. The reservation is guaranteed for 10 days from the date it was received. This gives our guests 10 days to remit deposit to us. Deposit must be made to: Bill Morgan. Deposit is 50% of your hunt and can be made thru Venmo (@Mew-Ranch), by cashier's check, or by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or American Express) with an additional 5% service fee. When sending in the deposit, please include the name the hunt is reserved under, email address, and the date of your hunt. Upon receiving your deposit, we will email you the reservation confirmation. If you do not remit your deposit in full within 10 days, your reservation will no longer be guaranteed. The balance of your hunt is due at departure in the form of cash, cashier's check, Venmo (@Mew-Ranch), or credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) with an additional 5%service fee.
IF YOU DECIDE TO NOT SHOOT AN ANIMAL WHILE YOU ARE ON THE RANCH, YOU FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.
Refund Policy: We do not issue refunds on deposits but do allow you to make up your hunt. Should your hunt be unsuccessful or you are not able to make it, your deposit may be used on a future hunt that same year.
What to Bring: Hunters will need to bring their own food, drinks, bath items including soap and towels, bed linens, and hunting gear. Cooking utensils and paper goods will be provided. Please bring your own flashlight. You may want to bring field glasses best 10 power.
Climate: In December through February, you can see temperatures sometimes dropping into the teens, although milder winters are usually the rule. Summer temperatures are commonly in the high nineties with evening temperatures in the mid-seventies. Spring and Fall temperatures are generally very mild.
Access to the Ranch: We are located 150 miles south of San Antonio, Texas. Most out-of-state hunters choose to fly into Corpus Christi, Texas and rent a vehicle to get to the ranch, which is a 70 mile drive. We ask you to arrive at the ranch gate between 12pm and 9pm. Please notify us upon arrival at the gate for entry. Check out time on the last day of your hunt will be at 12 noon.
Are Kills Guaranteed? YES! We are so confident with our guides and animal management that we guarantee a kill! (Note: blood drawn counts as a kill)
We provide: Guided hunts mostly safari style, however, we do have weatherproof double blinds. We provide full hook ups for motor home and travel trailers. We also have a target range for guns.
During November 1st thru February 1st, we will also offer a BBQ dinner at no additional charge (meat hunts not included).
We offer fishing for our guests to enjoy; catch and release only. We have a fully stocked pond with large mouth bass, blue gill fish, channel catfish, and blue catfish.
What not to Bring: No ATV's are allowed.
How Long of a Trip to Plan: Noon to noon the next day. Our guides can help you find the animal of your choice within that amount of time. We also offer lodging at no additional cost. Hunters coming from long distance should try to stay for at least one night but it depends on what you are seeking. Call us and we can advise you.
Private Parties: The entire ranch can be reserved for private parties. Call for additional information.
